Homework Club

Our wonderful Nepalese friend and charity representative Bishnu has for over six months now been running a homework club from his house in Pokhara. Bishnu and his wife Laxmi have two sons, pictured below, and as a family they have been inspired by the work we are doing to fund education. Bishnu and his sons started to help some of the local children with their homework after school, and soon developed a regular after school club for those children who’s parents cannot help them. This is often because the parents are illiterate themselves, or just are working too much to provide that support.

The charity has been able to help this initiative with some small items like books and stationary. The children who have been at the club are the envy of the local community as they are doing really well at school. Bishnu tells me that all the local parents of young children are now asking if their children can join in!

Shree Saraswoti School: Turning Generosity into Opportunity

As some of you will remember, when we first began supporting the school a few years ago, it had little more than concrete buildings and empty classrooms.

Since then, thanks to your generosity, so much has changed.

Thanks to the dedication of our trustees and the generosity of our donors, we’re able to expand our support and help even more families.
