North Coast 500: World Record Attempt
Athlete: Caroline Livesey
Attempt: 1 June 2026
Riding the North Coast 500. Chasing a World Record. Changing Futures.
This is more than an endurance challenge. It is a mission to raise funds and awareness for education in Nepal through Peak Education Nepal.
Athlete, coach, and storyteller, Caroline uses extreme challenges to push limits and create meaningful impact beyond sport. Behind the miles and the numbers is a deeply personal motivation: to support children whose futures depend on access to education.
The North Coast 500
In the first week of June 2026 Caroline Livesey (co-founder of our charity) will be attempting to set a world record (WUCA/Guinness) for cycling non-stop around the North Coast 500 in Scotland. This 500-mile route around the north of Scotland is described by Visit Scotland as: Bringing together a route of just over 500 miles (516 to be exact…) of stunning coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, rugged mountains, remote fishing villages, hidden gems, and a wealth of unforgettable experiences; the North Coast 500 is one of the world’s most beautiful road trips.
Caroline will be cycling non-stop supported by an incredible team of people and trying to break the current female record of 36 hours and 39 minutes (held by Christina Mackenzie). She will have to ride an average of 23 kph or less for the whole route (including any stopping time).
Why?
Having seen first-hand the impact of education in Nepal, Caroline is using this challenge to turn miles into meaningful change.
At the edge of her limits, Caroline is not chasing a record for its own sake, but for the real-world impact it can deliver.
The Route
Distance: 516 miles / 830 kms
Elevation: 33,000 ft / 10,000m
Start and Finish: Inverness Castle
Certification: World Ultra Cycling Association / Guinness World Records.
Where will your donation go?
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
This challenge is about more than performance.
Through this project we hope to raise significant funds for Peak Education Nepal, supporting access to education for children in Nepal who would otherwise not have the opportunity. Your donations go directly to the families in need.
Education changes everything:
- It creates independence
- It opens opportunities
- It breaks cycles of poverty
Every mile Caroline rides is directly linked to that purpose.
